Trinity Sustainability
Through education, community involvement, and local outreach Trinity University makes constant strides towards building a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. Trinity aims to encourage and empower both the campus and local communities to preserve our environment.

In spring 2020, Trinity University’s Center for International Engagement (CIE) adopted five pillars to help guide all our internationalization efforts: equity, community building, social justice, student transformation, and sustainability. In terms of the fifth pillar, the CIE seeks to transform its existing programs and events in a manner that is consciously sustainable and environmentally-friendly. We created the CIE Sustainability Plan, a transformative, dynamic document that provides a framework for all CIE sustainability efforts.

What can you do?
Trinity students, faculty, staff, and alumni can create a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future by taking the CIE Sustainability Pledge.

Are providers and programs reviewed?
Yes!  The study abroad office reviews all programs annually, and programs are evaluated in depth every three years or as needed. In an effort to show our commitment to the environment, starting in January 2021, sustainability criteria have been added to the rubric we use to review and evaluate programs.
