Passport Scan
All international students must hold a valid passport for the entire duration of their stay in the US. Students should contact his/her home country’s consulate or embassy in the U.S. for instructions of renewing passports before the current passport expires. For example, students from Brazil can go to the Brazil Embassy in the United States website to apply for a renewal of their passports. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months into the future. A valid and current passport is required for all F-1 students. ISSS may not be able to process any new request for you until you renew your passport or show that you are in the process of renewing your passport.
All currently enrolled F-1 international students as well as those with post-completion authorization for Optional Practical Training (OPT) who have recently renewed or updated their passport must ensure that a copy is submitted to ISSS. To submit your updated passport to ISSS, you must have your updated passport ready to scan and upload to the system as a single file in PDF format.
All students will need to have a clear, full color scan of your Passport picture page ready to upload. Login to your ISSS Application on this site and upload your passport copy. Select the Documents tab and the Passport Scan option under Upload New Documents.
