Program Dates: May 26 - July 7, 2018

Course: CLSC 490: Field Practicum in Classical Archaeology

Approximate Travel Cost: $2,700 + airfare (approx. $1,200)

Tuition: $921

Insurance: $85

Course Description: This course is a practicum in archaeological field methods.  The major tasks are to determine the boundaries of the ancient harbor and its settlement and the close study of three structures which appear to be of different time periods. Students will learn first-hand the methodologies of excavation, mapping, field recording including both written and drawn, accession of artifacts into the record system, etc.

This is a CSULB short-term, faculty-led study abroad course.
