Follow in the footsteps of more than 2,500 undergraduates who have taken advantage of Budapest Semesters in Mathematics (BSM), the preeminent study abroad program in mathematics. Founded in 1985 by friends of Paul Erdös, the program encourages student creativity, a key element in the highly successful Hungarian method of mathematics instruction.

BSM instructors are members of Eötvös University, the Rényi Institute of Mathematics, and Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the three institutions known for having educated the great majority of Hungary’s highly acclaimed mathematicians.
