Need Financial Assistance?

It is not a secret that study abroad can be very expensive.  No matter how much we try to keep the costs down on Trinity programs, there are just some things which we cannot get around. A few costs to consider are airfare, housing, meals, local transportation, activities, insurance, tuition, and fees.  Don't forget about your personal expenses such as passport and/or visa, personal travel, souvigners, etc.  Don't worry! We will do everything we can to help you.

Many Trinity students who need some financial help get it from the Center for International Engagement through one of our grants.  Each year, roughly $100K is made available to students who have financial need.

However, if you do not qualify, then there are other funding opportunities outside of Trinity for you.  A Study Abroad Advisor can give you advice on where to look for outside funding, see below.

There are 4 categories of awards that we present to Trinity students: (as seen on previous page)

  • Trinity Study Abroad Grants & Fellowships: Financial awards listed here are specifically available for Trinity students. The amounts awarded and the eligibility requirements vary.

  • Additional Funding For Study Abroad: Various scholarship opportunities for undergraduate students studying abroad for academic credit.

  • Program Provider Scholarships: If participating in a fall or spring approved program, (not administered by Trinity faculty or staff) your program will have scholarships available for students.

  • Geosciences Scholarship: The Geosciences Department at Trinity has funds available for need based awards and merit based awards for students who participate in a U.S. based Geology Field Camp during the summer.
